The restaurant is very clean. However, that's where the good comment stops. Our server did not listen to a word we said. My boyfriend asked for a western omelet with two different cheeses. I asked for ham and cheese, with two different cheeses. The server sat, ate his breakfast, babysat someone's kid and someone else brought our food. They brought him a vegetarian omelet with one slice of cheese. They brought me triple swiss. When we said the food was wrong, no apology, the server walked away. I removed my ham to put on his plate. We asked for the check and the chef came out and asked to remake it. We declined and paid the full bill.
The owner is racist and not only mistreats but steals from the employees. I got food poisoning from the soup and the wait staff told me that they sometimes serve expired soup. I do not recommend.
I adore this place and everyone who works there. The food is what got me in the door, the staff (and food too) is why I continue to return. Pecan Deli makes you feel right at home. I came in with my son to buy the “ Famous pretzel salad “ my coworker have been raving about. From the moment I walked in an immediately felt uncomfortable. I know for sure I heard someone say the “N” word with a hard ER! Soon as I heard it she handed me the food and I opened it it smelled sour. I placed it in the trash but was so uncomfortable I didn’t ask for my money back Just left! If you are a person of color I don’t recommend this spot to go in.
Always suspected the management and/or staff were racist from the treatment i received during my one and only visit, but having it confirmed on a semi viral Facebook post from a wrongfully terminated ex employee takes the cake. I’m sure they have more than enough customers who think the same racist way to keep them afloat, which is really sad and not surprising. Food sucks btw
The owner fires staff after they get wise about him stealing tips from staff members according to several former employees. Serves expired food, makes racist remarks, and treats his staff terribly. Do not patronize.
This family owned restaurant is amazing. This is my second time here and the food is absolutely delicious, the customer service is great. Will keep coming back.
Large group experienced numerous specials, fast ordering and food delivery. Food was very tasty with no room for dessert but take home. Reasonably priced. Would recommend this friendly eat-in Deli.
